Looking for a Jeff Cavaliere calorie calculator?

If you follow Jeff Cavaliere and ATHLEAN-X, a calorie calculator can help you answer a practical question: how much should you eat for your goal? Start with maintenance calories, or total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), then aim below that amount for weight loss or above it for weight gain. Treat the result as a starting estimate to check against your progress.

If you want the ATHLEAN-X tool specifically, use the official ATHLEAN-X calorie calculator. ATHLEAN-X also has a separate BMR calculator; BMR estimates resting energy needs, not your full daily expenditure. This is an independent guide; MacroCodex is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jeff Cavaliere or ATHLEAN-X and does not reproduce their calculator.

Calculate a daily calorie target for free

  1. Open MacroCodex and enter your details to get an initial maintenance-calorie estimate.
  2. Choose maintenance, weight loss, or weight gain. The app uses your maintenance estimate to set a daily calorie target.
  3. Record your calorie intake and body weight consistently. MacroCodex updates its maintenance estimate and targets as it learns from your trend.

MacroCodex free app continuously tracks maintenance calories using State Space Neural Network.

Do not count the same workout twice. If a calculator's activity setting already includes your usual exercise, adding all of your watch's workout calories to the resulting food target can overestimate how much you need. Use your intake and weight trend across weeks to assess whether the target fits your routine.

MacroCodex is free and has no ads or subscription. It asks you to enter daily calorie totals; if you want a food diary, you can use a separate logger such as CalorieCodex. Daily scale changes can reflect water and food in your digestive system, not just fat change.
